Job Summary
The Infrastructure Officer at TCH is responsible for overseeing and managing the hospital's IT The Information Systems Specialist at TCH is responsible for managing and optimizing the hospital's information systems, including electronic health records (EHR), clinical systems, and administrative software. This role ensures that all information systems are efficient, secure, and support the hospital's operational and clinical needs. Location: Community Hospital of Seventh-day Adventists, Western Main Road, Cocorite, POS
Key Responsibilites

1. Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the hospital's information systems, including EHR, clinical systems, and administrative software.

2. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within all information systems, and enforce data governance policies.

3. Provide support and training to hospital staff on the use of information systems, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.

4. Ensure seamless integration between different information systems and other hospital IT infrastructure, facilitating smooth data flow and interoperability.

5. Implement and maintain security measures to protect patient data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

6. Coordinate with external vendors for the procurement, implementation, and support of information systems.

7. Lead and manage information systems projects, from planning and implementation to evaluation and optimization.

8. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

9. Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements to optimize the hospital's information systems.

10. Generate and analyse reports to support decision-making and improve clinical and administrative operations.

11. Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure the continuity of information systems during emergencies.

12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health
Informatics, or equivalent in related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPHIMS, PMP) are
highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing information systems,
preferably in a healthcare environment.

•Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in managing EHR systems and other clinical information systems.
o Strong knowledge of data management and security best practices.
o Experience with system integration and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7,
FHIR).
• Soft Skills:
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
